A Celebration Or Two

One thing everyone knows about me is that I love to attend the Mardi Gras festival every year. It’s always a wild time and it’s as fun as anything I’ve ever done. Each time I go, I like to dress up. It’s half the fun of going. Luckily, this year I found a cool site that has the supplies I need to make my trip complete. They have a wide selection of items to choose from.

This year I plan to attend the festival again and will dress up as well. I purchased one of the Mardi Gras Masks that was available from the site. I think it looks great and I can’t wait to try it out. I’m sure I’ll be in the thick of the party and be the envy of all who see me.

Hopefully I will be able to use this mask again at another party that we sometimes dress up for. I can’t wait to use the laser party lights that I bought a few months ago. I haven’t held a “theme party” in a long time. I think I am long over due!

Coming Along Nicely

There was an email in my email inbox confirming that order for the Agogo Bells was indeed processed and ready to head out my way this morning. I am not the most patient person in the world so I do appreciate all that the Internet brings to us almost instantly. I can’t image ordering anything that I couldn’t check up and/or track online. We are the generation of instant gratification indeed!

I’ll feel a lot better once it is here and I know that it has arrived in time for the party next week! There are going to be a good amount of friends and family there that I haven’t seen since last Christmas. I sure hope everyone is on their best behavior and that no drama starts up between anyone, but that hasn’t always been the case these past couple of years. But that is a whole other can of worms that I don’t want to open up right now.

Power Down

I was reading an article about how much power is wasted by leaving your computer on overnight. The total amount is staggering. Each year, up to $2.8 billion dollars are spent to power unused computers in the USA. That is estimated to be the equivalent of 4 million cars on the road.

I think Americans are still just getting started looking into the amount of energy we use. Not only do we leave on computers, I see porch lights on in the day time. We need to become more aware of how we use the energy we have. If we all do a little, we could do a lot!

It’s All In The Timing and September Is Such A Busy Time

It really bites that most of my friends and family have relocated so far from here. We do try to keep in touch with all of the various ways that today’s technologies allow us to and for the major holidays we have managed to get most everyone together as best as we can, but it still hurts.

A good friend of mine is hiring a local DJ for her 25th wedding anniversary party she is throwing in September that I would love to attend. This DJ has the latest pcdj software that is so talked about these days in the music industry. Unfortunately September is such a busy month, what with schools getting started and all the chores that are required to tend to at that time of the year, that there really isn’t any real chance that I could just take off for a long weekend for something like this. At least I know that there will be plenty of pictures that I can look at when she gets around to posting them on Facebook.

Hot Deals A Plenty

There are Hot Deals a plenty going on right now at Musician’s Friend’s website. Now is the perfect time to start seriously looking at great deals online much like the awesome deal on fender rumble bass combo amp. Unbelievable that in just over two months we will be running around like crazy people trying to take care of all the things that we deem necessary in order to make the summer season a success.

Coming from such a musical inclined family I usually try and find musical related items on all of the gift giving holidays that never stop arriving.

These days I am not going to use any of my credit cards. Last year at Christmas time I almost made it by only using cash, but three days before the “big” day I had to use my VISA for just a few things that I couldn’t manage to live without. I hope that I can truly make it this year.
