Wolf Moon

Tonight marks the first full moon of the year 2017. Because it is the first full moon, it is also known as the wolf moon. This name dates back to American Indian culture and their belief that wolfs howl at moon because they are hungry. There is also an added bonus that comes with tonight’s bright moon.

When the moons orbit is closest to us, it is called perigee. When perigee and a full moon coincide, as they will tonight, the result is a brighter, bigger moon. This means that some features of the moons surface will be very visible. I hope that everyone will be able to take a few minutes to walk outside and check out this rare and awesome sight!

The Outing

Our company recently sent many of us on an outing. It seems that a lot of our top employees were sent on a scouting trip to one of our offices in a whole different country. We looked into the situation and decided that bus rentals in New Jersey were the best option to get us to the airport. As we knew it would be a long trip, we decided to offer a first class method of travel. Instead of everyone trying to fend for themselves to find transportation to our destination, we thought it would be better to stay as a group.

Since our business relies on our employees, we knew that it was imperative to keep everyone fresh. There is no gain in sending a bunch of people out to a meeting if they are all dead tired. This way, we could all enjoy the best method of arriving at our meeting. We did some research and found a site called indonesia.travel/en. They were able to render the services we desired for the much anticipated trip to seminyak.

The best part of the whole deal was the reliability that we felt we had gained. It was important that we arrive on time and we thought this company could provide that. Of course, there were other benefits as well. The whole trip was amazing. The seats were comfortable. We arrived on time and were all relaxed and ready to enjoy our meeting. I guess we all owe a debt of gratitude to this fine company.

Close To Us

Happy holidays! It seems like just yesterday that I was saying those words. My, how time flies. Halloween has come and gone, thanksgiving is just a week or so away, and before we know it, Christmas will be right around the corner.

For those of those of us are lucky enough to have family and friends close to us during this time of year. We are truly the blessed ones. For those of us not so lucky, may all of you also find peace within the world and yourselves.

Will Flying Cars Be The Trend?

As many people remember back in July of 2009, the flying car was in the news. The first test flight of the car was successful. Flying for thirty-seven seconds, the car has wings which take thirty seconds to extend and lock. With a wingspan of 27 feet, 6 inches, the car can leave the ground with 1,700 feet of runway. Another words, it could take off and land on most any American highway.

If this car becomes a practical reality, what will be the implications? I can certainly hear the voice of my daughter telling me that she has to have the newest model of this winged wonder. With a starting price of $194,000, there goes the college fund!

One benefit is that salaries for Department of Motor Vehicles drivers test givers will certainly increase. One of the pitfalls is that everyone’s car insurance would probably triple! All in all, with the bad driving habits of many people on the road today, I not sure this is the best idea.

Power Down

I was reading an article about how much power is wasted by leaving your computer on overnight. The total amount is staggering. Each year, up to $2.8 billion dollars are spent to power unused computers in the USA. That is estimated to be the equivalent of 4 million cars on the road.

I think Americans are still just getting started looking into the amount of energy we use. Not only do we leave on computers, I see porch lights on in the day time. We need to become more aware of how we use the energy we have. If we all do a little, we could do a lot!
