There was an email in my email inbox confirming that order for the Agogo Bells was indeed processed and ready to head out my way this morning. I am not the most patient person in the world so I do appreciate all that the Internet brings to us almost instantly. I can’t image ordering anything that I couldn’t check up and/or track online. We are the generation of instant gratification indeed!
I’ll feel a lot better once it is here and I know that it has arrived in time for the party next week! There are going to be a good amount of friends and family there that I haven’t seen since last Christmas. I sure hope everyone is on their best behavior and that no drama starts up between anyone, but that hasn’t always been the case these past couple of years. But that is a whole other can of worms that I don’t want to open up right now.
I was reading an article about how much power is wasted by leaving your computer on overnight. The total amount is staggering. Each year, up to $2.8 billion dollars are spent to power unused computers in the USA. That is estimated to be the equivalent of 4 million cars on the road.
I think Americans are still just getting started looking into the amount of energy we use. Not only do we leave on computers, I see porch lights on in the day time. We need to become more aware of how we use the energy we have. If we all do a little, we could do a lot!
If you can’t find the perfect wall fountains at Soothingwalls than you are just hard put to please. This wonderful Swan Lake Wall Fountain, would be so awesome in my living room. Maybe if I get the full amount that I am expecting back from Uncle Sam in a few weeks, I can seriously considering purchasing this large natural indoor wall fountain. But after last year’s hassle with the IRS I’m not going to count my chickens before they hatch and get stuck in a jam again.
Bubble Baths are one of the best stress busters for me and I try to enjoy one at the end of a long day at work. I find myself a good book, bring the cell and house phone in the room with me, and soak for a good 30 minutes, or so, with all of the bubbles that my tub will hold.
Between the laundry mat and my nightly bubble bath I get a good amount of time to enjoy my favorite reading materials and I really enjoy reading. I go through books like a crazy person, they come in the house and stay a while and back out the door they go, making room for the newly acquired ones. It is a constant shuffle but well worth the effort and time.
One thing I have been doing lately is some winter cleaning in anticipation of Spring. Since I went through just about every room in the house, I came up with a few items I no longer need. It hit me just then that I should give them to worthy organization.
The good thing is that I don’t have to go anywhere. There is one organization that will pick up my used items from my home. I feel good knowing I am helping others in need as well as getting my house a little cleaner.
