It’s a wonderful day and the house is alive with family. It seems that everyone has come and we all are enjoying the chance to catch up on the latest news and gossip. We are preparing a mountain of food and will have enough to feed a small army. The turkey is in the oven and there are pies and cakes everywhere!

I also like to have the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade on the television. I really love to see the floats go by and enjoy the memories they bring. I also like to hear the great marching bands that make your heart thump with joy! This is definitely one of the better holidays there are!

They have done it again! It seems to be the same old story when it comes to the government. This time they have bungled the job of bailing out American International Group Inc, the nearly defunct insurance giant. Federal officials are being blamed for spending billions of dollars more than was necessary to keep the company in business.

I guess that after all this time I was hoping that our government would do something right, but I am not really surprised to find that the same old song is playing. Maybe it’s a good thing though, when America goes broke, maybe the government will bail us out as well.
