There is a new record in the comic book realm. There is a 1939 comic book featuring a new character named Batman that sold at auction for more than $1 million dollars. The book is called Detective Comics and is No. 27 published in May, 1939. The deal beats a record set just the other day for the highest amount paid for a comic book.

Both parties in the deal wish to remain anonymous and there is some speculation as to who was involved. The sale beat a one million dollar price for a 1938 Superman Action Comics No. 1 which was sold earlier this week.

One thing I really like doing is to go to the library. It’s right on the way home so it’s very convenient for me. I usually stop at least once a week and check out a few books. I like that it’s always quiet there and I also like the smell of all the books. When I have time, I like to stay awhile and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Sometimes I’ll take the kids and let them enjoy it too. I like to let them explore and build a respect for books and reading. I think it’s important that they have a solid foundation of learning that can broaden their horizons. I have some work to do now so I’ll see you later!

I had some time to go down to our local library. I needed to take back some books and pick up some new ones. They have a very nice area where you can sit and read. I’ve always enjoyed going to the library. It’s a great place to get some peace and quiet. There is something about being around all those books as well.

The best part about our library is that it is very close to my house. I can stop on my way home and drop off the books I have and pick out some new ones to read. I usually like the scary books like Stephen King writes. I also like the ghost stories as well. Sometimes I take the kids with me. I think it’s good to expose them to literature at an early age. All in all, the library is one of my favorite places to go!

Bubble Baths are one of the best stress busters for me and I try to enjoy one at the end of a long day at work. I find myself a good book, bring the cell and house phone in the room with me, and soak for a good 30 minutes, or so,  with all of the bubbles that my tub will hold.

Between the laundry mat and my nightly bubble bath I get a good amount of time to enjoy my favorite reading materials and I really enjoy reading. I go through books like a crazy person, they come in the house and stay a while and back out the door they go, making room for the newly acquired ones. It is a constant shuffle but well worth the effort and time.
