Cold!!
February 11, 2010
With the recent snowstorms that have hit the east coast, I have been right in the middle of ground zero. It seems that after each storm is done, another is on its way. There is snow everywhere and it doesn’t want to go away. My car is a mess and I need to get it washed soon, but I guess it will just get dirty again!
I’ll be glad when we have a nice day with sunshine and a little warmth. As much as I like snow, too much of anything can be a pain in the butt! Spring is almost here and so I’ll just have to look forward to that!
Welcome to Chicago
October 4, 2009
I thought that it was interesting that a baby mammoth was found by reindeer herders in Siberia and brought to Chicago. The baby mammoth who has been named Lyuba was believed to have been suffocated in a mud hole almost 40,000 years ago. The body is the best preserved specimen found to date.
Scientist are happy to study the remains and have found a few things that they didn’t know before. The body is expected to be put on display soon at the Field Museum in Chicago. The exhibit will also make several other stops before arriving at her final resting place in London.
