Poking Around Facebook
March 13, 2010
Spent a few hours with my friend, Mason Vaughn, last night. He’s a good guy with a troubled story. But we’ve been friends for over 20 years and I say that friends stay true – through thick and thin.
So Mason has a Facebook account and he was posting comments when I showed up. Since I don’t know anything about Facebook, I asked if I could watch while he wrote comments and added new friends to his collection.
It looks pretty easy to work with, but I’m not sure I need to get signed up. It seems like a lot of work to keep your account and deal with friends on the internet. I have done a pretty good job of keeping up with my friends by using the phone and sometimes email. I don’t know if Facebook would really help me with my friends or would it just take more of my time?
A first step!

One thing that I have heard a lot about lately is people who are having financial problems. Our company had to cutback its hours and some of the good folks who work for us are now struggling to get by. These are good people who have done nothing wrong, but now they need help in order to set their financial situations right.
I always believe that taking action to solve these kinds of problems is the best solution. A good first step is to seek advice on debt management . I think that getting help from professionals will allow you to take control of the situation. There are many ways to get out of debt and it’s wise to consider all of them.
I hope that the economy will get better soon and things will get back to normal. Until then, I will continue to advise people to consider every option available to them. I am sure that our country and its people will rise to the occasion and begin a new economic era that better suits us all.
The Personal Touch

When I learned that one of my favorite office girls was having a birthday soon, I knew I had to get her something special. I had pretty much decided to get her a gift card, but I thought that it may not send the message I wanted it to. She has done a fantastic job lately and I wanted her to know it. That’s when I heard about having the option to personalize the card.
I grabbed the picture of her cat from her computer and had it put on the card. I also added a generous amount of money to her favorite restaurant. When I was done, I gave her the card. She was delighted to find her cat’s picture there and thanked me excitedly. I’m glad I got the chance to express how I felt and believe I’ll use this option more often.
The Phone call!
July 27, 2009
It’s funny how sometimes and innocent phone call can turn into a three hour marathon! The very thing happened to me the other day after I called sister. We had a lot to catch up on and the time slipped away without notice. We talked about everything under the sun and had a great conversation.
Although I love all my sisters equally, she is my favorite one. We have always been close and hung out together as children. I was glad to have a good catch up session with her just like the old days. I guess I’ll need to call my mom next!
