There are many things that can be pleasurable in life. One thing that stands out to me is owning a pet. We have three cats and a dog and we love them all equally. They get along most of the time and bring us great joy.
There are some people who are thinking about getting a pet of their own. I hope that if you are one of these people you will consider adopting a pet from your local pet adoption agency. There are many fine animals that need a loving home.
I would like to remind everybody that doesn’t know that today is Earth Day. We should all take a few minutes and reflect on how we can help keep our earth clean. There are many different things we can do.
There are many earth friendly products at your local stores and there are new ones coming out every day. I like feeling like I am doing a little to help by using these products. I hope you will too.
Although I have little artistic and crafting ability, I do know a well crafted item when I see one. I saw this photo of lace eggs and am amazed that anyone could make these.
With it being Easter tomorrow, I have eggs on my mind. I am going to buy an extra dozen eggs tonight at the grocery store and find some way to decorate them tonight for Easter. I don’t have to do it but I want to.

Today is April Fool’s Day and it means that some people will be trying to take advantage of your trust by playing pranks on you.
I do not like the idea of practical jokes, although when I have seen some of them played out on TV I have to admit that they were funny. There was one short lived TV series called “I Get That A Lot” or something like that. The show as about celebrities placed in menial jobs and having to interact with the general public who thought they recognized the celebrity. The celebrity always denied who they really were by saying, “I get that a lot.” But then they do confess at the end of the interaction. It was funny watching the customers try to figure out what was going on and how they acted toward the celebrity before and after they knew the truth.
Do you stop and pick up a penny when you see one on the ground? I do and am not too proud to admit it. I was taught as a young child to value every penny and I still do that today.
Every once in a while I read that the Government is complaining that it costs more to make a penny than 1 cent in production expense. They want to discontinue making pennies altogether. I am so against that idea. I don’t want everything to cost a multiple of 5.
If there are no pennies then we either pay with nickels or dimes, and of course that will mean that we end up paying more, because everyone will round up the prices. Nobody but WalMart ever rolls back prices willingly.
