Kentucky Derby
May 2, 2010
It was a wonderful running of the 136th Kentucky Derby. The track was a little muddy but the horses slogged through it all to provide a great race. The winner was a colt named Super Saver ridden by Calvin Borel. Borel is known for his propensity to ride the rail in his races. The strategy paid off for him this time.
The trainer name is Todd Pletcher. He owns about 175 horses and has hundreds of employees. This was his first derby win though he has entered horses in 24 races. He also stated that he believes in his horse’s ability to win the Triple Crown. That is a difficult feat and we’ll have to wait and see on that. I do wish him luck!!
April Fools’ Day 1
April 1, 2010
Today is the day! There are many people who believe that a woman will not play a joke. I am here to tell you that assumption is entirely wrong. I love this holiday and always have a great time playing my little tricks on people I know. I have searched the internet and found some new ideas that I plan to try out this year. Beware! You have all been warned!!

It’s a Guinea Pig and they love to have fun!

I have always loved animals and this one is no exception!
Poking Around Facebook
March 13, 2010
Spent a few hours with my friend, Mason Vaughn, last night. He’s a good guy with a troubled story. But we’ve been friends for over 20 years and I say that friends stay true – through thick and thin.
So Mason has a Facebook account and he was posting comments when I showed up. Since I don’t know anything about Facebook, I asked if I could watch while he wrote comments and added new friends to his collection.
It looks pretty easy to work with, but I’m not sure I need to get signed up. It seems like a lot of work to keep your account and deal with friends on the internet. I have done a pretty good job of keeping up with my friends by using the phone and sometimes email. I don’t know if Facebook would really help me with my friends or would it just take more of my time?
